Meet The Founder
About Me
Bonjour! My name is Carole, and I’m the founder of Rue Babel. I’m a native French speaker and a mom raising two bilingual children. For the past 28 years, I’ve been teaching French and Spanish to adults, teens, and children in many different schools and settings. I hold a B.A. in French and an M.A. in French and Spanish Literature and Linguistics. More importantly, I bring my love of languages, culture, and cooking into every class. I’m a kid at heart, and I believe learning should feel like an adventure. My goal is simple: to share the joy of language and help every student, no matter their age, feel at home in French or Spanish.
Mission
At Rue Babel, I believe learning a language should be joyful, creative, and accessible to everyone. I offer French and Spanish classes for children and adults, along with French cooking camps in the summer. My lessons are interactive and engaging so students don’t just study vocabulary, they experience language in fun and meaningful ways.
Creativity, art, and enthusiasm guide everything I do. I know from experience that when students are having fun, they gain confidence, stay curious, and feel excited to use their new language. My approach blends proven teaching methods with cultural exploration and hands-on creativity to make learning come alive.
